There is ignorance on the concept of wastewaters. The garbage is a garbage, is said, and there is nothing to say. Nevertheless, from the 20th century the continuous research has provided it with added value and many possibilities have discovered, especially now that the climatic change makes the protection of the environment so necessary. In this context of need and innovation the cooperative society Sierra de la Pandera, of Los Villares inaugurated, yesterday, a revolutionary treatment plant, which only occupies 50 square meters.
It has been designed by the company of research and development, Cyclus ID and it has aptitude to treat hundred for hundred of the wastewater that the oil-mill generates after grinding the olive .An activity that in presents campaign has promoted to twenty million kilos. However, the action of the plant does not finish in the simple depuration. The wastewaters, in addition, can re-be in use and to turn into possibility. Indeed, said Cyclus's general manager, Jose Maria Soria--" the wastewater treatment of grinding twenty million kilos of olives can generate more than ten million liters of water ".
Water that, in this case of the cooperative Sierra de la Pandera, will be destined, mostly to ten lines of cleanliness that it possesses. With the "pain" of the investment near to 280.000 Euros and waiting of possible subsidies, the president of the oil-mill Luís Parra estimates: "Every day, the cooperative spends hundred thousand litres of water. From now, we will save 25 per cent in the cost of the invoice". It is performing without bearing in mind the environmental prejudices that are avoided. "Already we do not have to pump the rafts, which might have supposed a danger for the nature of some valve breaking" he says. The treatment water also will be going to public sewer. From there, to the municipal urban wastewater plant and, finally, to the community of rerough canvases of the most valued good, now that the drought is a big problem.
